Many patients, when diagnosed with disc herniation, have concerns and questions about whether to undergo surgery to treat it. Are there any potential complications or side effects after surgery? Are there any current non-surgical or non-invasive treatment methods for disc herniation?
To address these concerns, on September 8, Dr. Rabie (Rob) Sleiman, General cum Medical Director at ACC Chiropractic Clinic, led a workshop sharing knowledge about the stages of disease progression, complications or risks that may occur when treating disc herniation with surgery. In this workshop, Dr. Rob introduced safe, conservative treatment methods aimed at helping patients recover and maximize their range of motion. These include:
- Chiropractic adjustments to correct misalignments in the discs and spine.
- Combine with Physiotherapy such as DTS spinal decompression, Shockwave therapy, high-intensity Class IV laser therapy, and the Pneumex Rehabilitation program, all of which help reduce pain, inflammation, and accelerate the patient’s recovery.
The workshop provided many useful insights to help patients better understand their condition. It also created an opportunity for patients undergoing active treatment at ACC to share their experiences with disc herniation treatment, thereby motivating new patients just starting their treatment journey, giving them strength and confidence to fully heal.
