Lam Quang Nhat became the first Vietnamese male athlete to achieve a remarkable finish time of 4 hours 13 minutes and 44 seconds, while also securing second place overall in the race consisting of a 1.9km swim, 90km cycling course, and 21.1km run.
Behind this proud achievement lies not only glory, but also months of intense training, the pressure of high-performance competition, and a silent battle against injury.
Few people know that Nhat continued competing at the highest level despite dealing with a herniated disc, along with L4-L5 spondylolisthesis and spinal misalignment – conditions commonly seen in endurance athletes due to prolonged stress on the spine.
With the mindset that “Anything is Possible,” Nhat refused to stop.
Instead of allowing injuries to become his limitation, he proactively adjusted his entire training and recovery process to help his body adapt to the increasing demands of IRONMAN 70.3.
Beyond increasing his training volume, Lam Quang Nhat also placed greater emphasis on musculoskeletal care, improving recovery capacity, and maintaining spinal stability – crucial factors for endurance athletes to sustain peak performance while minimizing injury risks.
Throughout his preparation journey for IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam, American Chiropractic Clinics ( ACC) accompanied Lam Quang Nhat in optimizing his movement system and helping his body better adapt to the intense demands of competition.
The support extended beyond pain relief and focused on comprehensive recovery:
- Chiropractic care helped support spinal balance and reduce pressure on heavily loaded areas during training.
- Advanced muscle rehabilitation therapy helped release deep muscle groups affected by long-term tension – something conventional stretching alone often cannot fully address.
- ACC’s exclusive Pneumex technology supported both decompression and activation of the stabilizing muscles surrounding the spine, helping athletes maintain load-bearing capacity while supporting the spine and intervertebral discs.
A Historic Milestone for Vietnamese Triathlon
At IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam 2026, under the intense heat of over 31°C in Da Nang, Lam Quang Nhat crossed the finish line with a total time of 4 hours 13 minutes and 44 seconds, becoming the first Vietnamese male athlete to step onto the overall podium after 10 seasons of the event being held in Vietnam.
Yet beyond the achievement itself, what many admire most is the journey behind the spotlight — where every day of training was a battle against physical limits and an unwavering determination to never give up.
Because in elite sports, glory is not built on race day alone. It is forged through thousands of silent hours of dedication behind the scenes.
ACC is proud to continue accompanying Lam Quang Nhat on his journey to conquer new limits and contribute to creating proud milestones for Vietnamese sports.
