Biography

  • Dr. Sam received his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Azusa Pacific University in California, where his studies focused on the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions, with a particular emphasis on sports injuries.
  • He later graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California. 
  • With extensive experience in treating sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, and spinal issues, Dr. Sam is dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients.
  • Approach to Care:  Dr. Sam takes the time to carefully explain patient conditions in a manner that is easy to understand, ensuring that his patients are well-informed about their treatment options.
  • One of his most memorable cases involved a patient suffering from a severe lumbar condition. The patient already planned to have surgery.  Just one day before the surgery, the patient consulted Dr. Sam. Through chiropractic treatment, Dr. Sam helped the patient recover without surgery, and the patient is now much improved.
  • Dr. Sam encourages his patients to lead a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing regular exercise, a balanced diet, and maintaining proper spinal function to enhance overall well-being.
  • Commitment to Learning: To stay updated with the latest advancements in chiropractic care, Dr. Sam is committed to continuous self-learning. He regularly reads research from medical and academic sources to ensure his knowledge and practices are current and effective.

Dr. Sam grew up in Japan before his family moved to California. A chiropractor and mentor at his university had a significant impact on his career choice and practice philosophy.

Vietnam is the first country he has worked in outside of the United States. Dr. Sam has always been intrigued by Vietnam, inspired by stories from his mentor. He thoroughly enjoys living in Vietnam, especially appreciating its rich culture and delicious food.

In his free time, Dr. Sam enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He is fluent in both Japanese and English.
